  • Walk among the trees, feel the presence of those from the otherworld. Soft light filters through the vibrant green of the forest, softly illuminating the moving forms of the tree spirits as they celebrate life.

  • She flits through the forest, gleaming and gold. She is part of the earth, but also free to take wing and seek her own destiny. The deep greens pf the mist-shrouded provide a perfect foil for the vibrant gold of the figure, which is simultaneously at rest and full of movement.

  • The freedom to be. The soft golden-brown of the trees sit against the shadowed backdrop of a dream, and her pale form glows with its own light.

  • Life flows where she walks. This was the initial work-up of the concept for Emergence (above). The pale figure merges with the soft greens, conveying a sense of peace within purpose.

  • I like to experiment with different color palettes when working up concepts. I liked the impact and strength of the purple, and took some of those tones into later paintings (yet to be added to the gallery).
